Polina Shchukina works as a seller at a fish store truck but wants to be a queen. Thanks to her extravagant grandmother, she finds herself in a magical world where everything depends on bureaucracy and the functionaries, while contenders for the employment opening stand in lines along echoing hallways and governmental offices. To outwit her competitors and acquire a viable trade Polina will have to go through a number of ordeals.

Uldus Bakhtiozina
Uldus Bakhtiozina (b. 1986 in Leningrad) has graduated from London Central Saint Martins College of Art (photography) and started her career in London as a reporter and photographer. She had solo exhibitions at the Gaze Gallery in Berlin, Lower Street Gallery in London and Anna Nova Gallery in St. Petersburg. She made a number of fiction films, including "Circus 17" (2017) and "One day of Summer" (2018). She also worked as a costume designer for the theatrical performance Aisha and Abhaya, produced by Rambert Theatre and The Royal Ballet in collaboration with BBC Films (2018, London). A winner of the photo exhibition Vogue Italy + Leica, a finalist of the Laguna Art Prize. Selected group exhibitions: "The Russian Fairy Tale. From Vasnetsov to the Present" (2020, New Tretyakov, Moscow), "Life after life" (2019, Manege, St. Petersburg), Exhibition of finalists for the Laguna Art Prize Award (2017, Nappe Arsenale Nord, Venice), "The Artist/Knight" (2017, Kasteel van Gaasbeek, Brussels).
