Zerkalo presents a world premiere
The eighth film in Zerkalo's competition is the world premiere of Uldus Bakhtiozina's The Fisherman's Daughter, a feature debut of the photo artist, made in Saint Petersburg on her own money.

Uldus Bakhtiozina was the first Russian speaker at TED international conference in 2014, featured in BBC's "100 Women" project and was declared the best young fashion photographer of 2016 according to Vogue Italy. This is a second Russian film in Zerkalo's competition, which also features entries from the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Greece, Argentina, Mexico, UK, India. International participating films have been shown at prestigious film festivals in Rotterdam, Locarno, Berlin as well as Sundance film festival.
